Care

Our pieces are made with organic materials and thoughtful craftsmanship. Most pieces are handmade, so small variations are part of their charm.

Rugs

Follow these care instructions for the Rayuela, Margarita, Jelly Worm, Pasto, Pickle, Chubby Checker, Carousel, Bouncy, Ice Cream Rugs

Vacuuming

  • Vacuum regularly to keep the fibers in good condition and remove shed fibers.
  • Use a gentle suction setting and avoid vacuuming the fringes.
  • Over-vacuuming can damage the wool over time.

Cleaning

  • Never put the rug in the washing machine.
  • For spills, act quickly. Blot the area gently with a clean dry cloth, don't rub.
  • Spot clean with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild detergent or a water and vinegar mixture. Test on a small hidden area first.
  • Blot away any soap residue and let it air dry completely before using the rug again.
  • For anything beyond spot cleaning, consult a professional rug cleaner with experience in hand-tufted wool rugs.

One small thing

  • When your rug arrives it may be slightly compressed from being rolled up. Unroll it and give it a little time, it will settle back to its original shape.
  • Rotate it every few months to distribute wear more evenly.
  • Keep it out of direct sunlight to prevent the colors from fading over time.

Follow these care instructions for the Musgo rug.

Vacuuming
Vacuum at least once a week using a low-power setting and a flat nozzle attachment. Avoid beater bars or rotating brushes. Occasionally vacuum the backside to remove dust and dirt.

Cleaning
For spills, blot promptly with a clean undyed cloth. Don't rub. Avoid harsh chemicals, they can discolor the rug. For tougher stains, consult a professional rug cleaner.

One small thing
Some shedding is normal at first, especially with a high, thick pile. It lessens over time. Regular vacuuming helps manage it.

Washing
Machine wash at 40°C max, with similar colors and a full load. Terry fabrics do better that way. Low spin. No fabric softener, it builds up over time and affects absorbency.

Wash items with zippers or buttons separately. If something snags a loop, it can pull a thread. For smaller loads, a laundry bag helps. Do not bleach.

Drying
Shake them out before drying. Air dry when you can, or tumble dry on low. Either way, it helps bring the fluffiness back.
